How does the YGS differ from other educational offers in Lebanon?
We are a school with an international lesson plan and, moreover, a fair offer in terms of price.
- We teach in tri-lingual manner: German/English/Arabic and French.
- The German International Baccalaureate offers the children direct access to the free range of studies at German-speaking and international universities.
- As an open, all-day school, we are a space for learning and living, and therefore offer our children—pupils from age 3 up to the 12th form—a diversity of extracurricular activities, including afternoon and holiday care, in addition to instruction.
- We are a green school in association with youthinkgreen, whose patron is German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel. As a role model in the field of environmental protection in Lebanon, the YGS teaches the children to separate and properly dispose of their waste and to understand the natural cycle of becoming, growing and dying.
What does our pedagogical offer consist of?
The development of the four educational competencies, which consist of BEING, KNOWLEDGE, the ABILITY TO KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING and the COMPETENCE OF LIVING TOGETHER WITH OTHERS.
As of the 3rd form they begin with natural sciences instruction in which biology and chemistry are taught with the help of pupil-oriented experiments.
As of the 6th form, all pupils have lessons in biology, chemistry and physics. This instruction will take place in a modern room especially equipped for natural sciences.
Multicultural and Trilingual Education
Our pupils can simultaneously acquire the Lebanese Baccalaureate, the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the German Language Diploma with direct access to higher education in all German-speaking countries..
